So Long 2023, Hello 2024

The Benefits of Re-reading BooksAs 2023 comes to a close, one can’t help but reflect on triumphs and those moments where we stumbled during the past year. For me, 2023 feels like a placeholder. It was a year filled with unfulfilled goals.  For 2024, my resolution (I don’t care for that term) is to concentrate on forward progress, setting new goals and laying plans to accomplish them.

What are those goals? Here they are in to particular order.

  1. Work toward banishing procrastination.
  2. Eliminate time sucks like social media, useless YouTube video
  3. Complete Mac Book 5 and publish it.
  4. Begin research on a sequel to Dig Two Graves.
  5. Read at least one new book per month.
  6. Explore hobbies, including gardening, model railroading, and music
  7. Make a list of my goals, write them down with a completion date, and keep those goals in the front of my mind. (A goal without a date is only a dream!)
  8. Past to this website at least monthly. (posting here is a great way to hold myself accountable)

How will I do with these resolutions?  The new plan starts today! To begin, I accept the challenge from Bob on Books to read and grow intellectually( Bobs on Books Reading Challenge.)  I hope my friends will join me in growing in new ways in the new year.   Happy New Year and may 2024 be your year to learn, grow, and find peace.
